The Special Enchantment offering is designed for families looking to select a caregiver dedicated to their home. The Hearth Fairy uses your family requirements and preferences to tailor the placement process and find the best fit caregiver for your family while providing ongoing support throughout the placement process.

What’s included

  • The Hearth Fairy assists with finding a best fit caregiver through selective screening and personal profiling, allowing families to efficiently review optimal candidates.

  • The Hearth Fairy conducts reference checks and an initial interview with the caregiver candidates.

  • The Hearth Fairy assists with onboarding by providing background checks, Motor Vehicle Report check, and American Heart Association First Aid/CPR/AED certification.

  • After placement, families and their selected caregivers will proceed independently in their working agreement. Families are responsible for setting and enforcing their own work expectations, payment agreements including taxes and possible benefits, and all other matters related to employing the caregiver. The Hearth Fairy will provide guidance and support throughout this process.

  • The Hearth Fairy offers a 6 month guarantee with all placements. The Hearth Fairy will provide complimentary replacement support within the first 30 days of placement at no additional cost in the case that the original placement is unsuccessful. Possible replacements needed beyond 30 days are available for $250 per placement within the first 6 months.

  • All caregiver candidates go through a thorough vetting process to ensure quality, character, and confidence. Here are the steps of our prescreening and qualification process:

    The Hearth Fairy does all of the preliminary screenings of caregiver candidates based on the family’s caregiver specifications and preferences before sending the profiles of the qualified candidates to the family. When the family selects the profiles they like, The Hearth Fairy will arrange a facilitated Zoom interview between the family and the selected caregiver candidates. The Hearth Fairy will consult with the family throughout the interview process to receive feedback to better focus the search for the right caregiver as well as provide guidance to the family on selecting a caregiver. Once the family has a preference for 1-3 caregivers, The Hearth Fairy can set up a trial booking for the family and caregiver candidates to get a better idea of their compatibility. When the family selects their choice of a caregiver, The Hearth Fairy will complete the placement process by ensuring the needed onboarding paperwork and trainings are completed.

    There is a 6 month guarantee period for private placements in which a family may request another search be performed if they are unsatisfied with their selected caregiver. Replacement placements are complimentary within the first 30 days of the placement and $250 per placement any time after 30 days within the 6 month guarantee period.

  • The Hearth Fairy can conduct a Special Enchantment placement in any state as this is a mostly virtual process. We will follow all of our standard protocols and processes to ensure a successful placement. Any placements outside of the Metro Atlanta and CSRA areas will not have access to The Hearth Fairy’s Fairy Friendship network as we do not have caregiver networks established in other areas at the time.

  • Because of the detailed nature of the placements, private placements typically take between 2-6 weeks more or less. The total time for placement depends on the volume and quality of the applicant pool, how quickly the family completes each stage of the process, and how ready the family is to make a final decision.
